A couple days to check out Coober Pedy.
Certainly an interesting town with interesting locals. Many homes are built underground to escape the heat, if you find a few opals during the dig then the house becomes a lot cheaper!
We met a nice guy that provides the gear to go noodling at the huge dirt dumps in town. Dig and shine your VU light to hopefully strike it rich, no luck for us though. A little sketchy wandering the mounds of loose earth in the dark but fun at the same time.
Finished off the visit with a sunset dinner at the best spot in townLæs mere
