  • Reclining Buddha

    The Reclining Buddha in Bangkok is located at Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha), one of the city's oldest and largest temples, situated south of the Grand Palace. The impressive gold-plated statue is 150 feet long and represents Buddha entering nirvana. Wat Pho also houses the largest collection of Buddha images in Thailand and is home to the first public university, a center for traditional Thai massage and medicine. I asked who would want to create a 150’ reclining Buddha but did not get an answer.Read more

  • Arriving in Singapore

    We arrived in Singapore after a four-hour flight from Bangkok. Immediately impressed with what we saw. Rows of flowers along the highway from the airport to the hotel.   • National Orchid Garden

    We visited Singapore’s Orchid Garden, home of over 60,000 orchids. Just about every color, every size. Very impressive. The grounds were exceptionally well taken care of.

  • Gardens by the Bay

    A walk through of Singapore’s super trees. These 50 meter high structures were built to grow and display plants. Singapore’s goal is to be net 0 by 2030. They have planted over 80,000 trees in the city in the last 50 years. An impressive city park open to everyone.Read more

  • Flower Dome

    Next stop, the Flower Dome. The world’s largest glass greenhouse. The greenhouse is divided into different areas representing different types of plants. Another incredible place. They were getting ready for Christmas with their decorations.Read more

  • Cloud Forest

    Adjacent to the Flower Dome is the Cloud Forest. Another structure to hold a very specific fauna. It also houses the world’s largest indoor water fountain. Again, as you walk along the pathways you are met with many different plants. It was a real joy to walk through this incredible structure. The Cloud Forest had a partnership with the Jurassic films.Read more

  • Sands Skypark

    We went to the top of the Marina Bay Sands hotel. 57 floors up in the air. It looked like Singapore went on forever. Singapore has about 6 million residents. As the structure 3 separate buildings, there is an infinity pool along the top. Our tour guide for Singapore was Andres Wong, another great guide.Read more
