Left for Mansilla at 8 AM. Approximately 25 km's. From Mansilla, several of us caught the train to Leon with Paola for she was leaving the Camino here to get back to her home in Italy for her job. She comes back to Leon next year to finish her Camino. She was so helpful with the culture and language barriers. She was so determined on the trails, relentless at times. I knew her pushing hard and never quit attitude was going to help me and it really did.Read more
TravelerHi, I read you are 1/2 way. That's Awesome👏🏽 From what I read one of your pilgrims had to go back to Italy. I'm glad she was able to be inspirational. I sure it will serve you well as you continue. How tickled was Zoe to see her ZOE car namesake? Continue to stay motivated and mindful. You look like you've slim down a lot! You look healthy ... The pictures have been amazingly breathtaking. Spain 🇪🇸 is beautiful ... I'm learning a lot by way of your Camino. Again, thanks for sharing. I am looking forward to hearing a lot more about it... Keep it going... 👟👟👟👟🙏🏽😎🫂
TravelerPoala speaks very little english so I didn't know much about her and her journey. What I did know was she is originally from Peru and have lived in Italy for the past 18 years. I crossed paths with her back in Pomplona. Found out she was doing half the camino this year and will come back and finish next year. She is really a nice person. I will miss her sharing a part of her grapefruit with me. I look for grapefruit at every market, can't find any, then she always has one. Cool.

TravelerAww, that was sweet of her. I’m sure she’ll think of you as well. They are a good source of potassium… it is one of my favorites.
