We went to stay with some of my dad's friends in Hamilton. They were very kind to let us stay. Our dad's friend's name is Tze-Vun , his wife is Kimberly, his two daughters are Mia and Rose and his son is Ollie. We went to a lot of amazing places. In Hamilton Gardens there is a playground and paths. First we walked next to the Waikato river, which I did for my homework when we were writing about rivers. We then took the path to the gardens and played in the playground. There was a pixie house and when you looked through the windows there was mini furniture. We tried to look through the top window so we climbed onto the roof. It was so much fun. There was also a stage, so we made up shows. Then we walked back to our friends' house.En savoir plus

  • Rotorua Luge riding

    16 novembre 2018, Nouvelle-Zélande ⋅ ⛅ 19 °C

We went to a luge, which is a bit like a toboggan run, only you're not attached to a rail . There were loads of bits where you could crash. At one point I crashed into one of the sides and these people cornered me. It was really fun. After you had a go, you would get chair-lifts back up. Then you would go again. On our last go a girl had stopped on the side of the track because she had crashed and then her luge flipped over, causing her to get a few grazes on her elbows and her face.En savoir plus

We went to Rotorua, and after going on the luge, we went to a cafe called The Fat Dog. The food was in large quantities and there was a burger the size of a baby's head. I didn't get a huge amount of food because I didn't feel like it. After going to the cafe we went to a place where there was mud so hot it was bubbling. It stunk so much and I couldn't stay there for at least one minute. There was also a bath full of thermal water where you could put your feet in and get very warm because it was so hot. Then we went for an ice cream by the lake.En savoir plus

  • Otorohanga and Waitomo Caves

    19 novembre 2018, Nouvelle-Zélande ⋅ ⛅ 16 °C

Before we went to the caves we went to a park where kiwi animals like to stay. There were five but we only saw one massive one which was like a little child dressed up as a kiwi. We went to the caves after this and enjoyed the glow worms hanging from the ceiling. They were like stars in the night sky. After looking at the glow worms we went on a boat in the cave
. We also went to another cave where we went on a very long walk through the dark and rough cave paths. I must say that I was very relieved to be out of the cave after because it was very cold down there and I didn't like the fact that I was fifty metres under ground.
