    What a difference in weather! Thunder, lightning and torrential rain, skies black. Very pleased to have caught a sunny day yesterday.
    Back in BA and met up with Nora for an evening walk about town, then back to Victoria 's for stuffed squid for dinner!!Leer más

    Walking round BA

    Tried to walk from Victoria's to SanTelmo market, first couple of hours went ok, and found a lovely little coffee shop, then managed to get the tube. Failed to do any shopping in the touristy market and was a bit exhausted.
    Victoria took me to a much quieter market in the park next her house, and I bought some souvenirs from there instead.    Leer más

    Palermo park

    Victoria and I took a pedallo boat out on the lake, to see the rose garden. :)
    I stopped off in Palermo in a tea/book shop, before heading back to Victoria's

    Met Nora in town for a last drink before she heads off back to Fontezuela. Actually managed to correctly ask for 'la Cuesta'
    In the evening Victoria took me to a Beatles 'Magical Mystery Tour' tribute at the Kirchner building (the old post office). It was good end to the day with my head half in England and half in Argentina to hear the iconically English songs sung by an Argentinian with an (only slight) accent. They were actually really good, and the acoustics in the theatre added to the sound.
    Finished off the evening with 'asado' beef and chicken and a couple of nice bottles of wine at Cecilia's, oh, and some delicious almond ice cream. A very nice end to a very nice month in Argentina.    Leer más
