Dinosaur Valley State Park - Day2 PM

    March 27, 2023 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 64 °F

But the highlight of this day was yet to come. After we were done hiking, we drove to the nearby Fossil Rim Wildlife Refuge, where we boarded a windowless bus that took us on an exciting open-air Safari.

It was nice to see herds of wild animals freely grazing and moving around. Some of them, Emu, Antelope, Ram, and Giraffes came very close, and some ate treats from our hands. That was amazing! We were also fortunate to spot Ostrich, Cheetahs, and Rhinos.

Today's (late) lunch was at the Refuge's Restaurant a few miles to the west. We got back home to Dallas at just about 5 o'clock.

This was our 17th Geezer excursion. We thank our leader and founder Aubra Palmer for organizing this whole trip and making this another great Geezer outdoor experience!
