Friday Philaes Temple and Nubian Village

Had a nice bus/motorboat ride to Philaes Temple. Then another motorboat ride to Nubian Village where we were entertained by local Nubians. We danced!!!

Just sitting on sun deck drinking my lemon with mint afternoon drink watching the shores of the Nile.....
Friday afternoon

We docked at Kom Obo for a short walk to the temple and crocodile museum.

The walk we took in Aswan (in 102 degrees) with Jorge who lives in Sarasota (about five miles from Dana).
Saturday

Fairly quiet day. Other than our Rug Pirates who rowed by!! We were moving through the locks so they rowed fast!! Anything for a sale!

Sunday. Temple of Hathor

Had police escort. Visited the Temple of Hathor (Goddess of love, motherhood). Also the most colorful of all temples in Egypt. First century AD. Ceilings were gorgeous.

Last night

Farewell reception and dinner.
Celebratory dance and cake from our dinner staff.
Royal Palace

Abdeen Palace (still used by current Presidential royals). Gorgeous. Served lunch in Royal dining room. Then walked to Hanging Church (I lost some of that story). But beautiful church.
92 lb suitcase!

This is a first! Dana and I had left one suitcase at the Four Seasons, took another one each on the Nile cruise. We did a good bit of shopping (as good little tourists!). My suitcase today on EgyptBaca lagi
