    Makan Pagi, Penang, Malaysia

    May 4 in Malaysia ⋅ ☁️ 27 °C

It was my first time visiting Penang!

Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great. It was a bit rainy — sometimes sunny, sometimes rainy, and occasionally pouring.

We went to a famous café called Makan Pagi, but the line was super long.

We ordered the café's popular dish that a staff member recommended to us. It was good, but a little too spicy for us.

  • Peranakan Mansion, Penang

    May 4 in Malaysia ⋅ ☁️ 29 °C

After the cafe, we tried to go to Penang Hill, but it suddenly started pouring rain, so we gave up halfway.

Later, we went back to the city and visited Pinang Peranakan Mansion.

The staff mainly spoke Chinese, so it was difficult for us to understand how to buy the tickets.

There were also many tourists (probably Chinese) renting traditional clothes and taking photos for a very long time, which made the place feel quite crowded.

However, the café inside the mansion was nice. It was quite expensive for Malaysia, but we were finally able to relax.

Honestly, I have to say — I wouldn't really recommend it.

  • Penang Hill, Penang, Malaysia

    May 4 in Malaysia ⋅ ☁️ 27 °C

After the rain stopped, we went to Penang Hill.
This place might be a bit of a tourist trap, but since it was our first time, we decided to visit anyway.

The view was okay. It wasn't very beautiful because of the weather.

We ate Nasi Goreng and Penang Laksa at the food court.

The Nasi Goreng was okay, but I couldn't eat the Penang Laksa. It had a strong fish flavor and smelled a little strange to me.

Then we entered the Sky Walk area. The view was nice, but I expected to see a great city view or ocean view. Instead, it was mostly a forest view.

While we were heading back, a man beckoned to me and pointed at a tree branch.
There was some kind of animal on the branch!
According to the sign, it was a Common palm civet.

I wanted to take a good photo, but it was sleeping…
So my picture looked like, “What is that?” 😂
