Finger Lakes (Day 2)

Second day of our Finger Lakes tour started in Corning, NY. When in Corning, look at glass. We went to the Corning Museum where Jean took lots of pictures. I tried to keep up with her but when I would stop to read the placard with a glass piece and look up she had moved on. She really enjoyed it. I had signed up to make a glass pumpkin for a very special 8 year old (Olivia) who is really into Thanksgiving. It turned out it required no skill on my part to complete it but blow through the tube to expand the glass. We left Corning around noon and continued our route that wound through the lakes. There were some great views and the towns we passed through were quaint.
We traveled through: Corning, Elmira, Horseheads, Watkins Glen, Lodi, Trumansburg, Ithaca, Aurora and Skaneateles. It was getting late in the day so we cruised to Watertown, NY for the evening.Read more
