Our epic adventure took us to Pittsburgh, PA today. First stop: Primanti Bros Bar & Grill, where we ordered a sandwich so legendary, it should come with its own theme music. This sandwich was massive—like, "could double as a doorstop" massive. And surprise! The fries weren't on the side; they were right there in the sandwich, like they missed the memo on side dishes.

Post-lunch, we sauntered around Market Square and then made our way to Point State Park. We strolled along the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, where these two water buddies merge to birth the Ohio River. Feeling adventurous, we crossed the Roberto Clemente Bridge to ogle PNC Park up close, then took the scenic route back over the Seventh Street Bridge, admiring the riverfront artwork like true cultured tourists.

To dodge rush hour traffic, we decided to kill some time and hop on the light rail to the Duquesne Incline. Except... the light rail doesn’t actually go there. After scrutinizing the public transport info (maybe a bit late), we realized we needed a bus. Cue the comedy of errors! We debated the correct direction like it was a life-or-death situation, and finally, Beth relented and followed Don. Spoiler alert: we were on the wrong side. We crossed the street to find ourselves next to a soup kitchen, blending in perfectly with our tourist brochures and smartphones.

Our public transport misadventures peaked when a stranger engaged us in a conversation made entirely of random words. That was our cue to abandon public transportation and drive straight to the Incline. Thankfully, our light rail tickets were also valid for the Incline, so at least our detour wasn't a total bust. Adventure: 1, Us: 0, but it was a blast anyway!
