Pretty Marsh

Last stop for the day as we complete our loop of the southwest side of Mount Desert Island … Pretty Marsh.

The trail to the beach wasn’t exactly clear, but we navigated by climbing over a downed tree and following our adventurous instincts until we stumbled upon picnic tables at the water’s edge on a cliff. As we continued along the trail, it led us to a pavilion where a private party was in full swing, complete with stairs leading down to the shore.
