    Chrustchurch to Timaru

    While Freya was Lazy in bed (Because she had a huge blister from the day before) Derry smashed out a 5km run along the dunes before heading back and packing up the apartment.

    We then picked up the van and kicked off its maiden voyage with a trip to Christchurch city centre. First stop? Riverside Market, where we treated ourselves to a delicious lunch and explored the shops. After soaking up the city vibes, we hit the road for a scenic two-hour drive to Timaru, eventually arriving at our very first freedom camping spot—Caroline Bay.

    Eager to stretch our legs, we wandered around the site to take in the surroundings, then braved the chilly sea for a refreshing swim.

    As the sun set, we whipped up a meatball pasta, the perfect camping meal. Later, we headed back to the beach to see if we could catch a glimpse of the local penguins—
