Spend any extended time in Bali and Denpasar will eventually become a destination. Its not the most “touristy” but it is the government centre of the island.
Nusa Penida

Nusa Penida is historically Bali’s forgotten island unless you’re a diver. It is mostly undeveloped and only accessible by motorbike.
