Transit to Broken Hill

With an early start from Mildura, we had a couple of stops in town before setting off.
1st stop: Pooncarie to look at the old wharf. It is now just an embankment at a very low stagnant river. We also stopped at Bra Boots and Pink Piano just for a laugh.
2nd stop: Menindee for lunch at the Morton Boulka picnic area, then on to Menindee Lakes dam wall, and Burke and Will's Memorial to one of their Explorers.

The Indian Pacific came past just as we were learning Menindee Lake.

We saw a lot of wild animals wandering the roads, goats, emus, and a kangaroo. There were a heap of dead kangaroos on the roads.
I have my eyes on the lookout for wild camels now.

Checked in at the Caravan park and spent the evening around the fire with Kelly and Mike.Meer informatie
