Just returned from a moto ride up the mountain here at kampot had rained most of the afternoon yesterday and most of the night, stopped this morning after breaky so off we go! Very cloudy yes cloudy, road very good up the mountain couldn't see much because of the cloud, turned around and came back down, rained on the way down, we got a little wet so back to mea culpa to change our clothes, time for lunch and a beer yep another and cheaper than water !!!Read more

Ride our moto to the waterfalls this arvo, after a couple of days rain the river and tributaries were rushing to the sea, couple of photos hope you can see the waterfall at the top of the mountain

Our stop over for a couple of days next week amazing place accomodation in the side of a hill lots of wood stairs stone walls sitting by the pool having a drink and checking the place out,

Nice place to eat very friendly staff great food, we ate as the sunset lovely, on the way to eat we passed the famous crab sculpture, keep is known for it blue swimmer crab

Arrived yesterday staying at the de art hotel bruce gave me a little tour of the local area and this morning we had a wander to the central market, a very large market a couple

Ron and I collected a couple of Motos this morning so we are off again. First thing is fine some petrol as they always come empty the buggers.
Off to the Australian Embassy this arvo. They have a once a month BBQ where they sneak the meat in in diplomatic pouches. Should be a fun arvo.
Beautiful sunny day for us. Enjoying some brunch along the river front with the car and Moto noise and fumes.
Maybe squeeze a swim in at the hotel before the BBQ.Read more
Bruce McLeanThis is a bugger we missed the Embassy BBQ because you need to produce your OZ Passport to enter. To hire a Moto you need to hand your passport over as deposit. See the problem..... Oh well it’s on again next month 🙄

Before we left the temple grounds bruce wanted me to experience a little Cambodian way of life, so up this little track he took me and we stopped at rows and rows of shanties with hummocks,

Well it’s 5:30 in the afternoon, I was hoping to catch a nap after the road trip, (it wasn’t that far but requires a truck lot of concentration)
Tonight for whatever reason is Halloween and the hotel across the road has a rooftop bar restaurant with massive lighting and sound system. So it is sound check time and by the sound of it we are in for a sleepless night. Almost a theme for here. We might be able to snap some weird photos this evening, not planning a late one but might pay to put a few kms between us and the restaurant next door.
