Had luck with room...was 500 euro per night... small room was 300. Train was a joke....no cover on platform and waited 45 min in rain....when it bucketed down I went into another train on platformWeiterlesen
Wow...old history in the old town...walked lots today...up steps to the cross on hill and around the coast line path which was stunning to the first beach...all up 15km on the watch.

Boat tour to blue caves...slight ripples so no getting sea sick...Cool colour looking out from inside cave...but if sunny and still would be better. Lovely boat driver - tour boat owner Ivan.

Just did hop on and off bus...palace was disappointing... so not worth paying to go in...the beaches around the old city were pretty poor...so main cool things to do were chilling in outside cafe inWeiterlesen
Had a private tour with another 4 all in a Mercedes van that took 8 passengers. We went to Etna, a dorment volcano and knocked back a 70% alcohol sample called Lava...it certainly warmed the throatWeiterlesen
Sorrento beach was cool...caught a lift down to it from the town above.
Pompeii was so huge...the excavation takes so long with chipping away/around things with a tiny hammer... considering the wholeWeiterlesen
Took 1 hour to get from Port to train platform to s.piedro...then 1 hour ride with time to look around before Vatican tour we booked.
Cannes was so so...film festival was on so streets blocked and the red carpet out...some fans and photographers patiently waiting. Cold swim then had afternoon on the ship.
ReisenderThere is only one (natural) Venice in this world of ours, it's certainly a must on the bucket list.
