PengembaraYeah, pics don’t do it justice. The huge ship we were on, when we’d get close, it would just suck it down on one side, the ship was over 120 feet long, massive, and it just sucked it up. The brothers shared with us that there are similar whirlpools near Italy and likely it was one of the seagoing dangers Paul referred to.

PengembaraWe had the last laugh. Climbing that thing, everyone was sweating like crazy. The steps were basically straight up, and it was crowded in there. I couldn’t have been more comfortable. There was a chance of rain. Today it’s actually raining

PengembaraThe ramen, best I’ve ever had. The skewers were amazing, the mochi quite tasty. The sake has been eye opening. Clearly I’ve never had good sake in America, it’s so refreshing, sweet, no negative burn on the finish. Just oyyshi

PengembaraThat’s the Kobe tower. When Japan reopened to the world, Kobe was the center of it. They built that as a recognizable entry piece at the harbor for visitors and especially merchants as they would arrive to trade. Today it’s a neat thing to go up in, it has lots of neat features.
