• Travelday to Stockholm

    March 8 in Sweden ⋅ ⛅ 12 °C

Yesterday, we found out that our original flight had been canceled, but in the end, we were rebooked on a later flight, which actually worked out better. It gave us a late check-out, time for a relaxed breakfast, and a more leisurely trip to the airport.

We checked out at 13:30 and took the shuttle to Helsinki Airport. Check-in was super smooth, and we had about two hours before boarding.

Of course, I had to squeeze in some last-minute Moomin shopping! I finally found the black socks that Bella and I had been searching for in the city. Since only the crew was flying (we needed to be at the venue earlier, while the rest of the band took the ferry), I just texted her about it. She sent me an excited reaction because the Moomin shop on the boat was selling the tote bags I’d been hunting for in Helsinki! So we ended up shopping for each other, perfect teamwork.

While wandering around the terminal, I overheard some harsh sounds and an aggressive voice in a shop. The man was speaking Finnish, so I couldn’t understand the context, but I could tell he was drunk and harassing a store employee. He was rushing her, acting erratically, and then left with a pair of shoes without paying, somehow losing his own shoes because he was walking on those plastic sock covers they guve at security check. Since his bank cards weren’t working, he abandoned all his belongings and stormed off. As soon as he was gone, the shop employee broke down in tears.

I stayed until her colleague arrived, and when he asked if I had witnessed what happened, I explained. He then asked if I could stay to speak with security and the police, so I did. The man eventually came back, causing more trouble, but I was able to help, and at least the employee felt a bit safer while everything unfolded.

After that intense moment, we finally boarded our flight. Everything went smoothly, and as soon as we landed in Stockholm, our tour bus picked us up and took us to the hotel. Since it was already past dinner time, I went out in search of some good food.

I found a nearby ramen place called since ramen slaughterhouse with incredible reviews and wow, it did not disappoint. Easily one of the best ramen bowls I’ve ever had! Handmade, flavorful, absolutely delicious. I immediately recommended it to the rest of the crew.

With a full belly, I’m ready to take it slow, get some rest, and sleep early. Tomorrow is show day, and it’s going to be a long one!
