    Showday 20: Stuttgard (& Party)

    Today we were at the legendary ’90s venue The Longhorn in Stuttgart. Everyone has played here, and the walls are completely covered in old tour posters. You just can’t stop looking, it’s amazing to see who’s been on that stage.

    The venue provided us with a good merch area, and it was fun having an upstairs backstage where you could overlook the entire hall.

    We had some extra time, and it was a buyout day, so we had to get dinner ourselves. Mikael, Per, Chloé, and I decided to walk to a sushi place where we thought we had ordered beforehand. Apparently, the Germans don’t trust Faroese phone numbers, so it got a bit stressful, the guys wanted to be back on time for the football match. We took scooters back, which is always fun! The food wasn’t the greatest success, but it was good enough.

    This night was going to be a party night since tomorrow is an off day in Krakow with a hotel stay and it definitely was super fun. As always, there were drinks, dancing, and great music on the bus.

    Eivør got a shell gift from a fan, and I figured out how to play it, so funny!

    We all went to bed super late, and my god, this group is amazing. We’re starting to realize it’s going to be over soon…    Weiterlesen

    Off-day Krakow

    13. Oktober 2025 in Polen ⋅ ☁️ 12 °C

    We arrived sometime in the afternoon, but most people were still sleeping after last night’s party. Some of the guys had been awake until 10 in the morning!

    The only plan we had was to go to a steak restaurant, of course, this is the eat-as-much-steak-as-you-can tour, after all.

    But first: a long, well-deserved shower and some accounting.

    I walked over to the restaurant with Egil because Krakow is such a beautiful city! We had amazing steaks, and afterward most of us were ready for bed. But Eivør was on fire and wanted more, so the five of us — Eivør, Per, Elinborg, Jan Runi, and I — went on a tourist horse wagon ride. We made a deal that she’d drop us off at the hotel, and it was so much fun.

    Back at the hotel, I put on a nice face mask and watched a series, ready for an early night’s sleep.    Weiterlesen

    Showday 21: Krakow

    Nice, super-organized venue today with plenty of space for merch.

    We prepared for a big signing and big sales, and lowered the prices to get rid of some large quantities. We want to clear out Eivør’s stock since she’s left Season of Mist, and both parties prefer not to be stuck with leftover items.

    We even had a new design shipped in to end the tour with a bit more tshirts because they still run fast.

    Poland, as we know from last year, is crazy when it comes to merch and fans — and indeed, it was! We had a huge signing session and great sales, emptying a few boxes.

    Load-in and load-out were easy, and the food was good. Overall, a solid day at the office.    Weiterlesen

    Showday 23: Berlin

    16. Oktober 2025 in Deutschland ⋅ ☁️ 13 °C

    We arrived in Berlin early, and Emily had already checked that there was a dm next to the venue my go-to place for skincare and makeup!

    So, of course, I went on a little shopping spree in the morning before load-in.

    The venue was oddly located somewhere upstairs on a shopping street. But today we had a big merch booth inside the hall, so we could actually watch the show!

    We also reviewed our new LED name signs that we’d seen in Stuttgart with the local crew. I ordered them on Amazon and had them shipped to Allan, a photographer friend who lives in Berlin and was coming to the show.

    It was a good and exciting night, with some familiar faces and, as always, a few I’d rather not have around.

    There were plans for a party on the bus afterward, but I wasn’t really in the mood and had some accounting to do. Everyone left because I didn’t want B on the bus, so Chloé, Eivør, and I ended up having a lovely girls’ night until 2 a.m. chatting about life, relationships, and everything in between. It was so precious.

    Later, when the guys came back, the party continued on the bus and then I was ready! As always happens on tour, it quickly turned into a “everyone takes their shirts and/or pants off” kind of party. Casual, silly, and full of laughter. I don’t know why that’s always a thing but it’s just part of the fun, feeling free and happy with our tour family, dancing around in our driving home wearing pyjamas or underwear.

    Showday 24: Hamburg

    17. Oktober 2025 in Deutschland ⋅ ☁️ 13 °C

    Today was not my day, maybe because of the lack of sleep… It already started with an argument about merch fees because of the location of our booth. It was ridiculous, and I told them that.

    I had zero tolerance today, and it definitely showed. The venue staff didn’t make things easier either, they told us to move our stall 30 minutes before showtime. I told them no. They’d seen us setting up all day and said nothing, so I was angry… and they could feel it.

    Being in Germany is great for sales, but it can also be really tiring, germans can be very particular sometimes.

    At the end of the night, we had a disco load-out, so we had to disappoint customers. Chloé and I tried to keep it together while counting all the stock, surrounded by 700 people asking questions and wondering why we closed. It wasn’t our decision — when the venue books another act right after us, we get kicked out fast. I was spitting fire at that point.

    Anyway, I was just really on edge today. We even forgot three boxes in the trailer, something that hasn’t happened the entire tour so far. We both felt a bit lost. I’m just happy the day is over, especially with tomorrow being such an important show — both personally and work-wise: Copenhagen.

    The good thing? The food was the best we’ve had all tour! The amazing Jens — who also cooks for Heilung when we’re in Germany — made delicious beef and salmon with potato pancakes. Yummy!    Weiterlesen

    Showday 25: Copenhagen

    18. Oktober 2025 in Dänemark ⋅ ☀️ 10 °C

    We arrived in icy, chilly Copenhagen many people know the area from the Copenhell Festival.

    The venue gave us a unique merchandise area: a small room inside the venue. It was a bit weird, but also nice, it had a cozy, little store feeling.

    I tried to call Jaco a few times for his birthday, but he was flying that day as well. I also managed to call Ruben — we hadn’t chatted in a long time, so there was a lot to catch up on. It was nice setting up and talking about our lives.

    The show was fun, especially because even Maria and Belle, Christopher’s mom, came over. For most of the group, it felt like a kind of home concert, lots of friends and family were there, and you could really feel it in the vibe.

    Denmark never sells much merch, so I knew this part would be a bit disappointing.

    Afterward, we went to the hotel and of course, I forgot my phone, even after Jaffa asked if I had taken it with me. I forget it all the time; it’s become a running joke.

    We had a beautiful room, and Chloe and I had a late-night face mask party, just the two of us.

    Tomorrow, we’ll be picked up late so we can sleep in a bit, since Lund isn’t far.    Weiterlesen

    Showday 26: Lund Sweden

    19. Oktober 2025 in Schweden ⋅ ☀️ 10 °C

    In the morning, I quickly ran out for breakfast at the hotel. Chloe always skips it, but I tried to at least grab a coffee.

    Lund is a super short drive, so there was no need to go back to the bunks — just time to enjoy the ride to Sweden over the bridge-tunnel to Malmö, and do our makeup and such.

    The venue wasn’t big but had a really nice vibe, and the merch area was great too.

    We were set up super fast and ready for the show.

    The show was a bit of a bummer — it was a Sunday night, and people started leaving halfway through. Apparently, that’s normal, according to the security guy. Even from the stage, we could see them nodding at the people walking out.

    Sales were bad too, so we weren’t super excited. The most exciting part was the photobooth next to the merch.

    I packed my stuff to get ready for my flight the next day to Helsinki, with a stop in Stockholm first.    Weiterlesen

    Travelday to Helsinki

    20. Oktober 2025 in Finnland ⋅ ☁️ 2 °C

    We arrived at the port in Stockholm around 14:00 — enough time for me to get to Arlanda Airport and catch my flight. I can’t be on a ferry for 16 hours and sleep there, so I booked a flight and an extra hotel night instead.

    I’m also looking forward to going to Helsinki and having a bit of alone time. But first stop: the Moomin store!

    My god, it felt like coming home. Around 8, I was checked in at Scandic Kallio, in my old neighborhood. After a quick shower, I went out to find some food — McDonald’s it was. I called Mama and Leon, and afterward I went to Majava Baari, my favorite metal bar, for a lonkero. I really enjoyed myself — lots of nostalgia.

    I went back to the hotel on time, watched a series, and set my alarm for breakfast and a quick thirst run before show day.    Weiterlesen

    Showday 27: Helsinki

    21. Oktober 2025 in Finnland ⋅ ⛅ 8 °C

    Woke up not feeling great, but went to breakfast anyway. Since I’m keeping this room for another night, there was no checkout, so I went back to sleep for another hour after eating. Around noon, I went to my favorite thrift store, UFF, just down the road — and found myself a cute little dress.

    I walked to the venue, which is just a few streets away from my old house. That city feels so familiar; it really has a special place in my heart.

    The venue was a real Alvar Aalto building — such a unique vibe. Everything was well-organized, and the merch table was huge.

    We set up super fast again and even had some extra time to just hang out for a bit.

    We did a signing session after the show, and it was super crowded.

    It was an easy night afterward, as we were on our way to Tampere.    Weiterlesen

    Showday 28: Tampere

    Arriving in Tampere, easy show where ee recounted Asgeir his merch.

    I had my friend santu on the guestlist, and I was amazing to catch up with him after a long time.

    After the show i had a few drinks before going to bed. Im going to be dropped off at turku airport at 5 in the morning....

    Travelday to Götenborg (Stockholm)

    23. Oktober 2025 in Finnland ⋅ ☁️ 9 °C

    I woke up after just 1.5 hours of sleep — went to bed way too late and was absolutely sleep-drunk. Eivør, Gestur, Mikael, JR, and Ásgeir were still going strong with the party. When we arrived at the airport in Turku around 5 in the morning, they still had energy left.

    They had to be at the ferry port around 6, and my flight was at 7, so I ended up being way too early at the small Turku airport. But I was happy that Jaffa could drop me off — no way I was taking a 12-hour ferry!

    I arrived in Stockholm around 7 again because we went back in time. Originally, I had planned to transfer to Gothenburg and even bought that flight, but we realized that logistically it wasn’t very practical. So, I skipped the last flight and decided to wait for everyone to arrive at the Stockholm port around 7. At least I could use the airport lounge!

    I spent the whole morning sleeping on a couch among all the business travelers, eating breakfast and lunch, and finishing my accounting.

    Meanwhile, on the boat, JR and Mikael kept drinking — total walking zombies. There’s just something about the Faroese; they really know how to party hard.

    Later, I headed into the city, went on a nice shopping spree, had dinner, and met everyone at the port.

    In the evening, we decided to watch a cozy horror movie — Chloé, Emily, Mattias, Jaffa, and I. Jaffa had a break since the second driver had joined. It was so nice and cozy to have that little moment together with our driver.    Weiterlesen

    Showday 29: Götenborg

    24. Oktober 2025 in Schweden ⋅ ☁️ 11 °C

    In preparation, we’re already collecting materials for the shipment — like these pallets. And Obban, our dear Heilung warrior friend, kindly bought us the plastic film we needed. The Oslo venue is helping us with the packing, so we just need to provide everything.

    The setup was fairly easy, and we even had some time to chill for a bit. We had simple backstage food and got ready for the show.

    It was so nice to hang out with Obban — such a joy to have him around.    Weiterlesen

    Showday 30: Stockholm

    Last time Chloé and I will be doing the setup on this tour.
    Last time we’ll be selling ourselves.

    It was a slightly inconvenient location, but we made it into something beautiful, as always.

    Everyone’s getting a bit emotional — the tour is almost over.

    Since it’s almost the end, and I bought a Polaroid yesterday, we used all 40 shots during our last bus hangout with everyone.

    Had some funny moments with Ásgeir and long night hangouts with Chloé and the guys.    Weiterlesen

    Showday 31 : Oslo

    26. Oktober 2025 in Norwegen ⋅ ☁️ 10 °C

    Today was our only concession day — that means there’s a rule/law that another company sells the merch for us.
    This actually turned out to be a good thing, since Chloé and I could do the full out count and pack for all five different shipments.

    It took us almost the whole day to pack everything in the trailer and bring it inside. We also checked in on the concession — I’ve worked with her three times before, so there was a lot of trust and it was nice to be around her. She remembered me from Heilung.

    We missed the first “after the tour” group photos because we couldn’t leave the street full of boxes. Also, Chloé got some emotional news from home, so we skipped that one.

    We were stressed until the very last minute we had in the venue, getting everything ready and doing the out count with SCM. But in the end, all the strong men in the group helped — even though they were already in full party mode.

    We said goodbye to Emily and Henning, who we won’t see in the Faroes, and to Ásgeir and Gestur, who will be there.

    The rest left for Copenhagen for their flights and the rest of their journeys.

    Before we went to bed, Per, Chloé, Jr, Egil, Jaffa, and I pulled what they called “witch cards.” That was fun! Also, Per made toasties for me and Chloé — so sweet. These men are so caring, hahaha. At this point, Chloé and I are still amazed by that.

    Nyborg

    After being dropped off at the airport in CPH, Chloé and I booked an Airbnb and a rental car for a few days in Denmark. We found a place in Nyborg — a cute little Christmas town in a part of Denmark called Fyn, which we hadn’t explored yet.

    The rental car was super fancy, with even a back massage function! We were so excited because we loved the massage chair on the bus so much.

    We did some shopping and couldn’t resist going into the thrift store next door.

    We took it slow and did a lot of laundry in our cute Airbnb. We also had a ton of admin work and helped each other crunch some numbers… my god, what a job!    Weiterlesen

    Åarhus

    A bit of a spontaneous idea — I decided to visit my dear warrior colleague Martin in Aarhus, so I drove over around midday to spend some time with him and his daughter, Tit. We did some groceries and bought a few really nice fancy beers to try together while he made us mushroom risotto.

    We listened to music — he’s a big vinyl collector — and watched some true crime, since that’s a shared fascination of ours. It’s getting hard to find something we both haven’t already seen or read about!

    I decided to sleep over on the sofa since it was getting late, and planned to drive back to Chloé in the morning.

    Probably nice for her to have a bit of alone time too.    Weiterlesen

    Travelday to the Netherlands

    I drove back in the morning from Aarhus. Chloé had done some extra work on the admin, which was super nice! We finished a bit more together and counted all the cash so we could split it for traveling.

    Then I packed my laundry and bags, and she drove me to the airport.

    My flight was in the evening, so I had a nice meal in the lounge before leaving.

    Back in NL, I stayed at my parents’ place and finally got to see my two baby kitties again. Askur slept with me!

    Tomorrow: hospital visit, packing things in Apeldoorn for the Faroes, and meeting with Michael.    Weiterlesen
