1st meeting of project team

Today, the majority of the project team for El Salvador met for the first time to get to know each other and to be informed about details of the trip. Altogether we will be 5 opticians who will examine the patients, and 5 “assistants” who will get the respective glasses .
In Linköping (among other places in Sweden) second hand glasses are collected, cleaned, measured, and stored in cartons according to the strengths of the lenses. Each member of the team has been assigned to bring two cartons to El Salvador. Due to a special deal with KLM , every passenger can bring two suitcases (or cartons) with up to 23 kg plus hand luggage.
At the end of the day, we received shirts and t-shirts, packed our cartons into the car, and left home with a lot of excitement and expectation….Read more
