Rainbow Day

Yesterday was an adventure made up of delights and challenges. We left Great Falls and headed about 57 miles east to the Sundown Motel in Stanford, MT where we were greeted by its delightful manager Gayle. We made good time with the tailwinds, which was nice because I got a flat in my Kevlar-lined gatorskin front tire. Just a piece of glass. It had been raining on us for a short bit, but the sun came out right at the start of flat repair, so yay!
The scenery and the wildflowers and the birdsong were a constant joy throughout the day. We followed Otter Creek for quite a way as it meandered around the highway showing off little twists and turns filled with plants.
Near the end of the day, we saw the rainbow in the picture. It was incredibly bright. We stared at it for a while on amazement.Читать далее
