    Hello Philippines! We are blessed that when we go to the motherland, our family is there to come "home" to with a driver and a beautiful house for us to stay in. Auntie Arlene, Kheem and Kheyt have always spoiled us whenever we're there. Our first stop after a long flight? A full body massage at the spa of course! That's what gets us through a long flight actually, the rewards of a 2 hour pampering after. :) The last picture was Auntie Arlene's awesome bird, Basilica.     Family time! The only reason Filipinos go to Philippines. Lol. We visited with our amazing family (those that are with us and no longer with us). That first pic is Jaime and Jayden visiting Jaime's grandma who passed away the year prior to our visit. I love the fam!     Back to Philippines from Byron and I's Tokyo trip and we couldn't have been happier to be back with the fam. By this time, more of our family from US arrived for Kheem's debut like my Dad, Auntie Belen and Ralph. That pic of Jayden was the night we came back and he wore some of the souvenirs we brought back from Japan. The next day, Kheem and Richard took Byron and I to have shawarma for the very first time ever at Uncle Moe's in Pasig City. It was yummy! I mean who doesn't like beef and rice together? And they even put butter on your rice. Yes.. buttered rice! After that, we began our prep for Kheem's big debut party and had our nails done at Alabang Town Center.     San Jose, Batangas

    Andres, the driver, was able to take us to Batangas (my mom's province) to visit my great-grandmother, Nanay Osciang. She was 93 years old at that time. She passed away at 99 years old. I didn't know that this was the last time I was ever going to see her. I'm glad we made the trip to visit her. She's amazing because she remembered all of us. She even kept telling me ways to have a baby sooner. Lol. I will never forget that. We really did love her. Her story, being a widow at an early age with 6 kids is inspiring. She was the greatest! That picture with Jayden is priceless - there's 3 generations in between those two. It's crazy to think that at one point, there were 5 generations in our family existing together. It was also a nice visit because we were able to see my cousins, Kuya Macho and Doucette. I grew up with them and have really missed them. Blessed truly!Baca selengkapnya

    Mall of Asia

    Back to Mall of Asia, we had another family reunion but this time it's with the Velascos! Byron's side of the fam. They live in Naic and they met us up in Manila. We walked around the mall and had dinner at Max's. I love that even though this was my first time meeting Byron's cousins, Arlene and Oma, they were so nice and made me feel comfortable. Our families are the best! It was good to see Uncle Tabio and Auntie Ida again as well since they moved back to the Philippines after living in Las Vegas with us for a little while.Baca selengkapnya

    The party aftermath - majority of us woke up in Auntie Arlene's suite even though we all had our own rooms! Hahaha. We had a lovely room service breakfast as a family, recovering and reminiscing about the previous night's events. We then checked out of Shangri La Hotel and went to Dampa for lunch. It's pretty much a market where you're greeted with stalls after stalls of fresh seafood. We picked out what we wanted for lunch, took it to one of the restaurants there and then they cooked it for us in whichever way we requested. Delicious!!!!Baca selengkapnya
