Joe Wheeler State Park Alabama

We arrived at Joe Wheeler State Park on Saturday afternoon. Scott’s wife Sheila drove down from Atlanta on Sunday afternoon to meet us. She will be traveling with me from Joe Wheeler State Park to Demopolis Alabama.

This is the second Great Loop event I have attended. In early May Allison and I went to the Spring event in Norfolk Virginia held at a Marriott Hotel. The marina was right downtown and was nice.

This state park location is on an inlet about 1/2 mile from a large TVA lake. Given all the land around is park, the shoreline is all trees right down to the water and is beautiful.

There are about 40 Great Loop boats at the marina. Just down the dock from my boat I spotted a boat from San Luis Obispo California. I met the owner who told me he and his wife rented out their home for 2 years while they were doing the loop.Läs mer
