Camping Zonneland

Up and away this morning, heading south but with no firm plan.

We had coffee in Dokkum, which looks a bit like a mini Amsterdam. Then on past field after field of cows (Friesians) and horses.

We took the A7 across the mouth of the bay north of Amsterdam (an interesting bit of road) where we stopped for a quick lunch, then headed south to the coast around Noordwijk.

We didn't like the campsite we found there - too crowded - so we decided to keep going on the basis we have to get the miles done at some point.

We are now at Camping Zonneland, which is a bit tired to say the least, essentially camping in a woods. But it has obviously been very hot here today and the site has a swimming pool and we are only here for one night so not too bad.Read more
