    Day 56

    Again the weather was not great overcast all day and raining throughout

    I visited the Palace of Versailles and the gardens today if only for the short period that I was actually there. So I caught the shuttle bus from the hostel which took me out to the palace and the driver gave us 3 hours before he would be back to pick us up which would have been great except for the fact that it took 2 hours waiting in the line to get inside

    Even though the ticket had been pre purchased so that only left us with an hour to wiz through the palace and gardens

    It was absolutely spectacular and I only wish I had more time. I could have spent the entire day in the gardens alone

    Spectacular none the less and it was great to do😊

    Just eating sushi for dinner, so not exactly French but close to the hostel and cheap👍🍱    Meer informatie

    Day 57

    Bus trip from Paris to Bruges today!! Got in at about 1pm so had a nap then went for some sightseeing and it's a very charming city. Really pretty old buildings very touristy but

    Then I had one of the best burgers that I've had over here top 2 and homemade ice tea which was lovely

    Trying to have an early night but my room is right above the bar!! So noisy, getting to that stage of been over hostels but only 1 month more in them haha    Meer informatie

    Day 58

    Today was what you would call a hallowing experience. I did the Flanders field tour which was extremely informative and emotional and then the day finished off with the last post ceremony at the Mennin Gate

    At the gate my great great great uncles name was carved into the wall of over 50 000 missing or soldiers with no graves

    It was extremely emotional and honestly words can not describe nor the pictures do justice of what I saw today and the information that I heard

    I had tears in my eyes during the last post it again was honestly a place that you had to be to experience for this I didn't take photos or videos as I felt it to be disrespectful

    The WW1 history just within Belgium is immense!    Meer informatie

    Day 59,60,61,62,63,64,65

    So I'm quite behind on this, my apologies

    Day 59

    Caught the bus from Bruges to Amsterdam today. Only a short trip a few hours. Then a few girls and I went on a pub crawl which was a really fun time and danced the night away

    Day 60

    Today I got picked up by Skip and Elyses friends who took me to there house which was just about 15mins out of Amsterdam
    At home are also 2 of there children who were my age and a bit older

    It was lovely been in an actual home again and it's the best sleep I've had in a long time

    Karel (the dad) took me for a sightseeing tour around the suburb. They are in the flower business as well as his brothers so I got to see an orchid farm which was very interesting

    Day 61

    Another day with the family again. Very chilled and quite a different feel as to been in anyone else's house as they spoke in Dutch to each other but still lovely none the less
    They took me to the local water tower which was 51m high and I climbed it even though I still hate heights so I was quite proud of myself it was also extremely windy!

    Day 62

    Travel day from Amsterdam to Berlin so that took up the whole day. Then we had a couple of drinks and then found the best and cheapest kebab shop for dinner

    Day 63
    Today we did a Walking tour which was extremely interesting and informative and saw a lot of sights and monuments and memorials
    The memorial for the murdered Jews of the holocaust was most confronting and then we did the Holocaust museum which had stories of individuals and families which had an extremely personal touch which gets you very emotional. So a big day we then had an early night

    Day 64
    Today we did the Topography of terror museum and the berlin wall. Which talked about the methods that himler and hitler and the ss soldiers used from 1933 right up until the end of the war as well as seeing a part of the Berlin Wall
    Then we did what was called an Alternative walking tour which took us to look at all of the street art and the culture that is behind it and then the different living conditions that some people have in Berlin which was very cool

    Day 65
    And finally today was the bus trip from Berlin to Prague which again was just a travel day    Meer informatie

    Today we did a walking tour which was very interesting I knew very little about it when it started
    Then we did a pub crawl which was pretty hectic!

    Didn't do much today had a late night from the pub crawl so we just chilled out

    Bus trip from Prague to Olomouc. Here with two other girls do we cooked pasta and salad for dinner which was great then we played card games which was greatMeer informatie

    Absolute nothing day today. Just chilled out and caught up on some stuff that was falling behind. Another home cooked dinner and now a really chilled night

    Day 70&71

    Day 70

    Caught the bus from Olomouc to Krakow today getting in reasonably early which was nice we did a bit of a walk around. It is such a pretty place!!
    Then off to a pub crawl which was a big night but a fun one!

    Day 71

    Today was spent chilling out and not doing much. We went to the Jewish Quarter which is a bit run down and still has a large Jewish population which was interesting to see
    Then we had ice cream in the main square and watched all of the buskers. So many talented people out there!    Meer informatie

    Day 72

    The morning was spend touring the Auswitzch Concentration Camp which was extremely confronting but at the same time an experience that no words can describe. I chose not to take photos as I felt it wasn't appropriate and it felt as if you have to go there to experience it for yourself to truly understand what evil went on there

    We got back quite late in the afternoon and weren't really feeling up to anything so we just got some dinner in a really cute beer garden and then had an early night    Meer informatie

    Bus from Krakow to Vienna today a shortish trip got in at 4pm then just chilled and an early night now getting ready for a day of sightseeing tomorrow!

    Day 74

    A day of sightseeing in Vienna today

    We started off in the morning just wandering and got some breakfast which was an omelette which was a lovely change up from the usual bread roll for breakfast

    Then we went to a bakery which they are known for and got some lovely and delicious cakes!

    We then found the coolest installation in front of a kids museum! A giant waterbed covered in artificial grass! We just later there for like 30mins it was awesome!!

    Then off sightseeing, the Mozart statue, an amazing building filled with a museum, a butterfly garden (probably paid too much for what it was worth), the famous Hofburg family palace with over 2000 rooms!! Then the St Stephens Cathedral with its colourful tiled roof

    Back for a little rest then wandered through the markets and got Asian for dinner which was well needed!

    Another early night though, after 2 months and 1 week the fatigue is starting to catch up so these smaller cities and early nights are great!!    Meer informatie

    Not much to report on, had a lovely chilled morning with some brunch before the bus came. Then only a short ride to Bratislava in Slovakia so another country can be ticked off the list. Really lovely bunch of girls got off the bus also so should be a pretty chilled short stay here which will be nice😊Meer informatie
