Europe 2015

Hello world! Packing is nearly complete, everyone is buzzing about with last-minute things as Mom and I set off for our mother-daughter vacation to celebrate her 70th birthday. Our travels will take us through France, Spain and Portugal and I hope to use this blog to document this trip of a lifetime.

Our flight is not for 7 hours and she is already packed and ready to go, watching football. Me on the other hand...I am sitting here staring at piles of clothes, about to play tetris with my various bags - but I am ready!

I just said to someone special that "I'm trying to decide what I will wear in Paris tomorrow" and could not help but giggle. Tomorrow! Paris! This is a bit surreal and it's finally sinking in...we're going - it's finally here!

In the immortal words of the always wise Homer Simpson:

"I want to shake off the dust of this one-horse town. I want to explore the world. I want to watch TV in a different time zone. I want to visit strange, exotic malls"
