Middle Earth

We decided to go on the search for the hidden waterfall of Kerikeri armed with nought more than a vague set of directions and my impeccable sense of direction (and Google maps). Where others from the hostel had tried and failed we would succeed.

The trail had been officially unveiled last week and so when we got the rough starting point there were actually signposts so the whole discovering the route was eased and we just enjoyed the 2km walk through the forest and along​ the river. Czytaj więcej

The waterfall itself was like something out of a film set! The rocks behind looked as though they'd been carved, like a zen garden water feature had been enlarged twenty times over. Expecting to see a more small, tucked away trickle it kind of took my breath away. Czytaj więcej
