Caves (also known as Tam Ting caves) filled with over 2000 Buddha statues. Also used as hiding place from bombing during the war.
This town at the confluence of the Nam Khan and Mekong rivers is a UNESCO heritage site with 33 temples including Wat Xieng Thong and at least 2 bamboo bridges.
Visit to the waterfalls for a swim and a quick look at the moon bears in the sanctuary.
Visited the community of Vang Lei where we saw some traditional activities and joined a wedding party.
The novices from the nearby monastery come to receive food from people in the town.
Cave near Vang Vieng used as a hideout during the Vietnam War.
