    The NYC Athletic Club was founded in 1868 and its building at the edge of Central park is well known to not only architects. As one of the first buildings, it introduces not only swimming pool at an unusual floor but also different heights of floors according to their purpose.. And, who would not like to eat ozsters bz watching the guzs boxing from behind the bar?!
    Basic look from outside but a treasure in inside.

    Atletický klub v New Yorku bol založený v roku 1868 a jeho budova na okraji Central Parku je veľmi známa nielen architektom. Okrem toho že ako jedna z prvých budov obsahovala plaváreň na netradičnom poschodí, je zvláštna aj poschodiami s rôznou výškou stropov určenou podľa zamerania priestoru..     The full Park Avenue transformed into gym. Cycling, running, walking, skating, everything but driving is allowed. in the middle, Union square emerges like an oasis with fresh market. And just around corner a developer found a way how to go around a building that didn't want to sell and another which saved space by pushing out his escape staircase...

    Celá Park Avenue sa zmenila na fitko. Bicyklovanie, behanie, chodenie, korčuľovanie, proste všetko okrem autíčkárenia (jazdenia) je povolené. V strede tohto všetkého Union námestie sa objaví ako oáza plná kvetov a dočasného sobotného trhoviska. A hneď za rohom pán developér našiel spôsob ako obísť budovu majiteľa, ktorý nechcel predať svoj pozemok. A ďaľšiu, v ktorej ušetril miestom keď únikové schodisko vytlačil z nej von...    Read more

    The Chrysler building is for many years close to public, but anyway even the look into the huge lobby is an experience...
    Mission for next visit: find the "whispering hall" in the Grand Central Station, where you can hear someone whispering into one corner throughout the full space if you stand in the opposite corner of the hall...

    Chrzsler building je už veľa rokov uzavretá pre verejnosť, ale aj napriek tomu je neskutočný zážitok už len nazretie do jej honosnej recepčnej haly s výťahmi..
    Misia pre budúcu návštevu: náisť "šepkajúcu halu" na Hlavnej stanici, kde je možné počuť šepkať niekoho v jednom rohu cez celú halu ak človek stojí zrovna v rotiľahlom rohu haly...    Read more

    Táto stanica ešte síce nieje otvorená, ale už aj tak na seba ťahá pozornosť a to nielen turistov. Bude skvelé ju raz vidiet v plnej prevádzke a v plnej kráse!

    What is left is two big holes and a lot of names. People remember. And will remember and will take pictures forever.
    What is a bit ironic is that place where once stood two large towers, place where a tragedy happened is transformed into place where people meet, smile and take selfies.

    Všetko čo ostalo sú dve veľké diery a veľa mien. (Pamäatník 11Septembra) Ľudia si pamätajú. A budú si pamätať a budú sa fotografovať naveky.
    Iróniou je, že miesto na ktorom stáli dve obrovské budovy, miesto, ktoré skončilo tragédiou je zároveň miesto, ktoré sa premenilo na park v ktorom sa ľudia stretávajú, smejú a robia mojky.    Read more

    Určite jednen zo šik spôsobov ako navštíviť Sochu Slobody, Rímsku bohyňu, darček francúzskeho ľudu Amerike, je na lodi s francúzsky hovoriacou rodinou. :)
