Le Gardien Du Temple Toulouse

Unknown to us, the weekend we chose to stay in Toulouse, they celebrated our arrival with an urban opera! It’s a follow up show to the 2018 opera featuring the Minotaur saving the city from a rampaging spider. This time, Lilith a woman/scorpion mix is coming through the city to open a portal to the demon dimension and the Minotaur is trying to prevent it.
These are massive 30-40 foot (10-15m) tall mechanical beings driven through the city on cranes. They are accompanied by a band of musicians on their own floating stage.
Lots of fun and all 3 creatures passed through the square our AirBNB was on so we had balcony seats. The city expected 200-300 thousand people to attend so it made for quite a busy time.Read more
