Arrived at Maria Island

Today we started to Maria Island a beautiful island south east of Tasmania and will stay there for two days. We took the first ferry at 9 am. The whether was great. I saw the most beautiful beaches and cliffs since my arrival in Australia. The animal life is amazing. We saw different kinds of kangurus, wombats, different birds and the Tasmanian devil everywhere on the island. We stay here in an old prison in Darlington in a 6 bed dorm. On the island there is no electricity or stores, so we took all with us, sleeping in our sleeping bags, made a fire in the oven in our room.
Today we visited the Painted Cliffs, the Encampment Cove and French's Farm by bicycle. A beautiful road along the west coast.Read more
