On 3 August 2021 we left Erie, PA on a 6 week trip to CA that has yet to end. ResoNate sold his house today and we begin year 3 of adventures of traveling in Bliss. Read more

Memphis Botanic Gardens

The Botanic gardens were decorated for the holidays which is good as most plants were dormant. We learned a bit in the urban garden area and really enjoyed my big backyard children's garden. We stopped at Sprouts afterwards to get groceries.Read more

Graham Lake MS Overnights

We decided against staying in the city and made our way at sunset to Graham Lake Boat ramp campground. We were the only ones there, though we did see a jogger and a truck go through. We took some time to walk and regroup. Total 128 miles and $188.38 on gas and food.Read more

We stopped at the Library at New Albany to change up batteries and use Wi-Fi. We thought we had reached agreement with mineral rights owners and mailed deposit check. Then we went back to the park for lunch and a walk and discovered the mineral owners now wanted double. Now we're uncertain what will happen with them.Read more

Six Flags over Georgia

After breakfast and charging our heater battery while making spiced cacao snowballs for the yule party and studying permaculture, we drove into Atlanta for a final run at Six Flags. We ate lunch in the parking lot were able to ride the GA Scorcher in the front row and back row before the official opening time. After a tour of all the open rollercoasters and a few other rides, we said goodbye to our 2 year membership as we don't think we'll have an opportunity to visit next year.Read more

Yule party

We joined friends from Avalon and made new ones at the Yule party in Atlanta. We couldn't remember the last house party we attended and it was definitely a delight with so many lovely people! High Museum of Art

We used our NARM pass to visit the enormous and award winning High Museum of Art. We took a highlights tour and learned that the impressionistsb started plein air paintings because paint tubes were invented, before pig bladders were used to store paints. We turned into fractals in the contemporary art gallery where cupped solar tubes only allow in filtered northern light.Read more

Blaze pizza lunch

After a stop at the SC Visitors center for breakfast and Publix for groceries, we arrived at ResoNate's parents. Duncan was excited as soon as we pulled into the neighborhood but was very confused when Grrr and Mamma weren't home. Then was really unhappy to get into the bath, but he loves it once there. It was a great break from our travels and we enjoyed walks and several nice meals out together. Total 92 miles and $74.83.Read more

Longest day on the road!

We got up and got the road to make it to our new property by dark. Breakfast at Love's, late lunch at Abysissa Ethiopian, passing by the Bass Pro shop Pyramid and 2 more gas fills T Murphy's before arriving around 9:30 pm. Total 574 miles and $171.31 for gas and lunch.Read more

We own a permaculture farm!

After doing the walkthrough, we drove 46 miles round trip to the Scott County seat (we border Yell county) to close on the farm and Nate became an Arkansas resident obtaining a driver's license, but couldn't get a library card yet as needed more proof of residency!Read more

Home Sweet Farm

We spent a few days taking stock of the farm, planning, cleaning a bit, and learning to chop, drop and cover the garden, prune the orchard, and thin the silviculture. Duncan learned to stay away from the electric fence and get along with S'mores the cow. We found wood waiting for us to build and ice flowers, collected the first duck egg, and made a meal with white beans, and greenhouse tomatoes and chard.Read more
