The Peterborough lift lock was amazing. Hilt in 1904, it’s like an elevator for boats that takes you up 65 feet. There are two sides: one upper chamber and one lower. The upper chamber is filled with a little more water than the lower and the extra weight causes it to lower causing the lower chamber to rise up.Read more
