    Happy Mardi Gras!

    March 4 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

With the prediction of strong winds and heavy rain, the 2 super parades (Zulu and Rex) were modified: they started earlier and the routes were shorter.
We watched Zulu at Harmony circle: what a great show!
Zulu is famous for their coconut throw – quite possibly the most coveted throw in all of Mardi Gras. I was happy to get one.
In the evening, after the rain, we had dinner at Pierre Maspero’s restaurant which in the early days was a slave exchange. For dessert, we had to eat beignets at Café du Monde.
    What a great Mardi Gras!
