  • Technical committee

    August 20, 2018 in Romania ⋅ 🌙 70 °F

I some how got to be on the technical committee, if some one has a problem in the box , they land and we sort out if it was beyond the pilots control or within what he should have taken care of, it is a stressful position to have some how acquired. We have had two issues already, it is very difficult to sort out and forward your report to the jury, I guess it’s life at a world contest, someone has to do it, look at scores , Matt got a bronze medal in the last flight and all but one pilot scored very well with no hard zeros. We are into the second unknown, Michael Drew number one and he killed it with a 76 percent flight, 2nd at the moment. He is improving with every flight .Read more

  • The end

    August 24, 2018 in Romania ⋅ 🌙 70 °F

Four flights done, a few medals and an adventure complete here, now me and Richard drive 1500 kilometers to Czech Republic to disassemble and crate the planes, what a well run contest, the judging was fair always seemed to come out as expected or little better, Aaron had questionable point today that two judges hard zeroed, that video review is tough, it was hard call , looked like a real big roll rate change but they called it a point, we protested as team to keep it honest but jury upheld hard zero. They are always looking for a way to sink the battleship if given opportunity . Gold medal for Aaron , two bronze medal for Matt and team got silver overall. I would have loved to be at banquet when played national anthem for that gold medal.Read more

Mb had here camera bag stolen in Prague, these folks have super glue on fingers and can take right out from under your nose.Read more
