    Landed in LAX an hour late. Had a tight transfer time to begin with, which got whittled down to just over an hour. Had to go thru passport control, get my bags rechecked, back thru security and onto the plane. Made it with about 10 min to spare. Luckily they gave me an “express pass” which put me thru the front of every line - pretty slick

    Third leg - Los Angeles to Charlotte. 5 hr flight time.    Les mer

    Getting close to home

    Getting really close to home now. Again, had a tight layover. I only was given 50 min to transfer. Pretty exhausted - I’ve gotten some sleep on the planes, but not much. Will be nice to be back in my own bed tonight.

    Went from the worlds largest plane to a tiny little jet! But I’m living well cause another flight with no one next to me! Even for an hour, I’ll take that at this point in the journey.

    I finally touched down in Greenville! Ended up being 24 hours in the air, 30 hours total travel time, just about 36 hours awake. It’s a heck of a journey going to the other side of the world, but a price I’m willing to pay!!!

    It’s been a little shy of 8 weeks since I left. Loved my adventure - just not long enough. 😀 I don’t know if I’d give Australia a high review - the wildlife there is unique, but other than that, the country is very similar to the US. New Zealand on the other hand, I’d give it a 10/10. It’s a special place that I’d highly recommend visiting.

    Glad to be home, but boy do I love to travel. Time to adjust to not jetting all over the world again. 😫 Till next time.    Les mer
