Talk about dedication! We docked in Naples, and it was absolutely pouring rain for our tour of Pompeii. We were soaked to the bone, but nothing could stop us! This was a total bucket list item we missed on our last Italy trip, and it was worth every single drop of rain. The determination was real! We also stopped at a place that makes jewelery out of hand carved seashells. Pictures for today split across multiple posts because it seems I took a LOT of photos today.
​Fun Fact: When Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD, it buried Pompeii and its residents under volcanic ash and pumice stone, which perfectly preserved the city for centuries, allowing us to walk the streets today!Читать далее
