    September 6, 2016 in Canada ⋅ ⛅ 18 °C

Returned our car in the morning driving all these kilometers without a single crash or damaging incident and got even a bit lf fuel refund from the company since we filled up to much gas at the end.

Spending the rest of the day with an easy going walk through the park, relaxing and pre-packing of our stufd at the hostel for the airport tomorrow and a nice dinner at a better restaurant in town, followed by an evening walk along the harbor.Read more

    Porteau campground

    September 5, 2016 in Canada ⋅ ☁️ 13 °C

About an hour from Vancouver away we spend the last night in Canada in a tent while we have booked for our very last night in town tomorrow a private hostel room. But since we have to return the rental car tomorrow morning at 11am, we wanted to keep the distance short to the city.

In the end we drove in those four weeks of rental duration pretty much 6000km kilometers, only in British Columbia and a little tip of Alberta. :)Read more

    Whistler

    September 5, 2016 in Canada ⋅ ☁️ 11 °C

At winter times a ski paradise, is it a summer or just without snow a Eldorado for mountain bike fans. And the town was, similar to Banff and Jasper, another one of the kind 'disney town' which looks at every corner of to make some money with your presence...

    Continuing to Whistler

    September 5, 2016 in Canada ⋅ ☀️ 14 °C

Following the rivee which cut its way into the mountains we drove along the only other road which is leading through the Rocky mountains to Vancouver, but much more curvy than the main, hwy no1 would have down.

Exactly my type of thing! :)

    On route to Whistler

    September 4, 2016 in Canada ⋅ ⛅ 15 °C

Of course we could have take the faster, but longer way via Canada's hwy no 1 to Vancouver, but since we drove that route along the south already twice we now took the route centrally through the rocky mountains and costal mountains via Whistler.

For today we drove another good 6 hours to a provincal park campground directly inside a narrow valley about three hours before the mighty ski town and resort of Whistler.Read more

    Heading to Prince George

    September 3, 2016 in Canada ⋅ ⛅ 15 °C

After the first three hours of driving the valleys began to widen and the weathee became also a bit more cloudy and rainy, which got us a very strong rainbow and in the end we had shortly before our destination for the day a nice sunset even with clouds! :)

    Leaving the coastal mountains

    September 3, 2016 in Canada ⋅ ⛅ 14 °C

Three days of driving 1300km back to Vancouver ahead of us at least rhe weather has been nice to us and got us some pretty views along the seven hour drive for today to Prince George on the other side of the mountain range.

I throw in on the way another one of those stones I collected back three months ago in Newfoundland at the east coast. It made now all its way over to the west and tasted pacific water. :)Read more
