GR131 day2: Haria-Penas del Chache

PART 2 of the 2nd day GR131:
After a good break with Tapas in Haria i head on again up to the mountain...
Along a dried-up riverbed...back up to the viewpoint 'Mirador de Famara'....Famara, a famous surfing beach where wind and high waves are always raging... from above, you can even see a few surfers...and it's really windy! Checked out various caves...The 'cueva de las Cabras'...requires a bit of climbing (only for those with a head for heights)...and a little further on, 'natural caves', which, as the name suggests, were formed by nature...beautiful rock formations, definitely worth seeing. By now, it's getting late, and I head back to an abandoned cottage where I'll stay for the night...Rain and wind will rage all night, and I'm glad I found somewhere sheltered...see you tomorrow.Read more
