GR131 day5: Yaiza-playa Papagayo

After a hearty breakfast I set off on the last leg to Playa Blanca + an additional tour to the Papagayo beaches.

'Playa Papagayo'...at the southeastern tip of Lanzarote...not actually part of the GR131, but definitely worth a visit! The beach stretches across several bays, both large and small. The nudist beach wasn't too crowded, making it a good spot for a refreshing dip. The beach with a bar high above had impressive turquoise water, but unfortunately it was far too crowded... So I decided I absolutely had to stay here to see the beach empty at sunrise... In the afternoon, I left my backpack at the campsite reception and walked all over in search of a suitable place to sleep... only with a sleeping bag, no tent, because of the wind...
