VINSÅSHORNET 1346m A peak high above the Geirangerfjord. ...Hike about 6 hours, mixed weather...beautiful autumn colors🍁🍂🍃 along the trail. Description: 😃👣🏞🤩 It starts with a zigzag path through the forest...a detour to the 'Storsæterfossen' waterfall...continues along a path to the Grindalsetra hut at 820m...then across a colorful plain, the autumn colors in full splendor...cross the river and continue until the first larger rocks appear and the summit stands vertically in front of you...then an easy climb begins, all well marked with a red 'V', although sometimes very faint and difficult to see. At first, you think...okay, a bit of climbing, and then I'll be at the summit...as soon as I'm at the top, there's another climb, and another, and another...and so the summit climb drags on until the stone tower appears, which isn't the highest point yet...No, there's another short steep section, and then you have the 360-degree panoramic view, and DALSNIBBA, with the Skywalk, will later appear in sunny green...It's the highest fjord view in Europe, overlooking the Geirangerfjord from Dalsnibba at 1476m...a little higher than on Vinsåshornet, but further away...and today, unfortunately, with the same shadowy view of the fjord...the sun just wouldn't fully illuminate the fjord. ...That's nature...it has its own rules😃Read more
