    In 'Puertito de Los Molinos', I ate octopus with potatoes in a dropout restaurant (Las Bohemias del Amor). Then, further south, I found the Birth of Venus in pure sandstone (from Botticelli), and other interesting rock formations. The colors of the rock vary from yellow sandstone to deep red and black.     GR131 day11: Aguas Verdes to Betancuria

    GR131 - 11th Stage of the Canary Islands Crossing (4th in Fuerteventura):
    Today I went from Aquas Verdes over the mountains to Betancuria. Apart from the ranger, I only encountered people at the viewpoint: the Mirador de Guise y Ayose (detailed description under photo).
    Betancuria was once the capital of the Canary Islands...today a small, spruced-up tourist town with five restaurants (all of which only serve drinks after 5 p.m.) and souvenir shops....Busy during the day, Betancuria falls into a deep sleep after 6 p.m., and there isn't even a supermarket in the former capital...
