Es geht nach Brno.....

Heute ist nicht viel passiert. Nach einem üppigen Frühstück im Camp Vary starteten wir Richtung Tatra. Als Zwischenstation haben wir uns für heute Brno ausgesucht. In einer Straße, die diesen Namen nicht verdient, in einem Stadtteil, den man nachts nicht allein begehen sollte, fanden wir unser Domizil für diese Nacht. In einem Hinterhofhaus fanden wir ein ansehnliches, sehr nett eingerichtetes Appartement. Die Motorräder standen sicher auf einem abgeschlossenen Parkplatz .
Nachdem obligatorischen Einchecken, frisch machen etc , gingen wir ins Zentrum der Stadt und fanden alsbald ein uriges Lokal in dem wir zu Abend aßen. Mehr gibt's nicht zu berichten. Morgen erreichen wir die hohe Tatra....Read more

Brno za dnia zyskuje, nocą dość opustoszałe miasto przy blaskach słońca staje się zdecydowanie bardziej urokliwe. Dzień zaczęliśmy od śniadania, a następnie przespacerowaliśmy całą starówkę. Brno bardzo ucierpiało w trakcie WW2 jednak jest bardzo ładnie odrestaurowane. Wspięliśmy się na wieżę widokową katedry św. Piotra i Pawła i podziwialiśmy widoki. Zakupiliśmy również Chimney cake, którego nazwę po polsku zapomnieliśmy xd coś na TRead more

A Christmas market! This one had cute little yurt type tents, some with wood fires in them, and we gave mead a try - both traditional and a blackcurrant version. Afterwards we splashed out on a drink ar The Bar That Doesn't Exist and then dinner at Atilier, where we had probably the best service and butter we've received in a long time, and snails!Read more

Trasę przewidzianą na dzień dzisiejszy pokonaliśmy szybciej, toteż postanowiliśmy skorzystać jeszcze z wieczoru w Brnie. Wybraliśmy się więc, a na cóż by innego, czeskie piwo i nocny spacer po mieście. Pivni Burza- bardzo polecamy, super patent z zamawianiem piwa na ekranie przy stoliku, ciekawy patent z tym ze cena piwa rośnie gdy chcemy zamówić 2 razy to samo, co zmusza nas do próbowania wszystkich smaków😜Read more

Während mein Auto in der Werkstatt ist, um einen Ölwechsel und eine lange ausstehende Reparatur am Turbolader durchzuführen, erkunde ich in aller Ruhe die zweitgrößte Stadt des Landes.
Nach einem sehr guten Frühstück habe ich viel Zeit um das Treiben im Park und auf den Plätzen zu beobachten. Trotz der Hitze ist die Stadt ziemlich belebt und es herrscht eine angenehme Gelassenheit vor.
Das Zentrum wird von prachtvollen Stadthäusern geprägt und erinnert mich ein wenig an Wien. Beim Aufstieg zur schönen Festung Spielberg komme ich ganz schön ins Schwitzen, aber werde mit einem tollen Ausblick belohnt.
Am späten Nachmittag kann ich mein Auto wieder abholen und fahre weiter in Richtung Osten bis an den Fluss Morava bei Kvasice.Read more

Say what you will about tiny loft bedrooms in the 4th floor attic of heritage buildings with no lifts - I love them. This one had a double bed and a 150cm thing, which I colonised quickly as the reading nook. I tried very hard not to look at Richard when we discovered the bathroom was down a flight of stairs, lest I be withered to pieces. In unrelated news, I have now lost planning privileges, along with map privileges which disappeared following the Palmenhaus Incident. Yolo.Read more

It's lovely here! A very scaleable city, everything seemed to be about 200m away. We dumped our bags at the accommodation (more on that later) and went out for a walk, then after seeing more in far less time that I'd planned (see 200m comment) stretched out with a drink in a very hip seeming place called SKOG but with that interesting Nordic slash through the O. I had the jasmine orange lemonade and it was delicious.Read more

The first few days we had tried the more efficient (time and price) method of having our biggest meal of the day at lunch. It worked well in that it's a much cheaper way to eat out, but as two idiot office workers used to skipping breakfast, having something perfunctory for lunch, and then a huge dinner, it was making us feel a bit (in my case a lot) queasy and it was cheating me out of dinner (cruel). We chucked that in today and it was probably for the best, this delicious cheesy jammy snack held us over until later.Read more

Die zweite Tageshälfte verbrachten wir in Brünn. Nettes kleines Städtchen mit coolen alten Straßenbahnen und schöner kleiner Altstadt. Auch hier gab es für Freddy problemlos einen Parkplatz am Stadtrand.

In einer kleinen Gasse endeckten wir ein schönes Café. Für Leni ein Meloneneis 🍉 und das Obst von Mamas Kuchen und Papa freute sich über ein leckeres kohlensäurearmes Bier 🍺. Wer konnte ahnen, dass es einen Indoorspielplatz gab. Leni endeckte ihn. Wir waren ewig da 😜 Spaß für die ganze Familie 😀

Tag 1 vorbei... auf zum nächsten Stopp mit Copilotin Leni, die immer fein Lieder während der Fahrt singt 🎶Read more
