    On The Road

    July 13, 2018 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 90 °F

We left Tahoka around 1pm, Lubbock around 5pm. Tried to get oil changed, apparently Bolton's does not do motor homes. Found a screw in one of the jeep tires, they do fix tires. It was super hot from the stop and go. We were all hot, cranky and tired but we finally got on the road!!Read more

  • Tire Change

    July 13, 2018 in the United States ⋅ 🌙 72 °F

We stopped at Wal-Mart in Dumas, Tx to change the front passenger tire. Talon and I went grocery shopping while Weston & Doug changed the tire and got gas. Check out the apples we found...

  • Tires Again

    July 14, 2018 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 86 °F

Tires again... We stopped at Les Schwab to have them balance them. Hopefully we'll get a smoother ride now.

  • Flat Tire

    July 14, 2018 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 84 °F

Doug felt something unusual with the front passenger tire, he started slowing down and moving over when it blew.

  • Pinedale

    July 14, 2018 in the United States ⋅ 🌙 64 °F

Spent the night. Not sure it was where we supposed to. We were looking for BLM land, but it was dark when we pulled in. We woke up next to the river, so it was all good! We walked around some before getting on the road, surprised we didn't get hauled away, the mosquitos were giant! We left for camp at 6:45am.Read more

  • 1st Day @ Camp

    July 15, 2018 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 77 °F

We got to camp at 9am. Parked our motorhome where we wanted it and got ready for church. Church was awesome, then we set out motorhome, ate lunch and went to the chute, it took me a good half hour to work up the courage to go through, but I did it! We came back and helped set up the kitchen. Doug and Jarrod Pippen worked on the sink plumbing, while Stoney & Tina, Mark & Veronica and I followed Talon, who went with a bunch of kids, to the cliffs. Talon jumped off both the small & large jumps, while I just jumped off the small jump. We came back to camp, ate supper and then played volleyball until dark. Had some good visits around the camp fire and crashed into bed.Read more

  • Shopping Day @ Camp

    July 16, 2018 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 82 °F

We got up and made breakfast around 7, hung around camp while it rained and I put away all of our clothes finally, Doug watched Talon go down the river in the kayak; Talon loved it, and we left the boys at camp while we went to Idaho Falls to grocery shop. We were there most of the afternoon and got back around 6:30pm, food richer-cash poorer. While we were gone the boys went to the lake with Dustin & Sarah Bashaw and got ice cream with Josh & Valerie Dobbs. After we got back to camp we pitched in burgers with the group and had some good visits. We went to Brien & Brandi Gladden's camper and visited with them for awhile, then went to Dan & Becky Norris's camper. After visiting with Jared & Denae at Dan & Becky's we came back to camp and unloaded the rest of the groceries. Whew, lots going on!Read more

  • Hike Up To Wind Cave

    July 17, 2018 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 59 °F

We left camp at 10am, we started hiking at 11:30am. It took us about 2hrs to make the 4 mile hike up the mountain to Wind Cave. We are sooo out of shape! It was fun and so pretty, but it was a hike UP, not much down.Read more

  • Wind Cave 1

    July 17, 2018 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 61 °F

The Wind Cave was ccccooollllddd! We put our warm clothes on and went in, that is after we ate our snacks. We smacked our heads, belly crawled, knocked our knees, and generally had a blast going through the cave. We went all the way to the pit, but didn't have the gear to go past. After we got back to the mouth of the cave the boys wanted to climb to some ledges, so we (me nervously) watched them. Doug thought they were about 45 feet up. Then undressed, some more snacks and down the mountain. We spent about 2 hours at the cave.Read more

  • Hike Down Wind Cave

    July 17, 2018 in the United States ⋅ 🌧 63 °F

It took 1:20 to hike down the trail. Coming down didn't make you out of breath like going up did, but it hurt the knees. We still had to take several breaks. We found out later that we didn't do the Ice Cave, you have to take a split off the trail that we didn't realize. Another time...we got back from the hike and ate then hung around and played some volleyball.Read more

  • Camp

    July 18, 2018 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 75 °F

After camp started, we played in the water, the guys talked me into going in the kayak. We went to the chute (Talon lost Weston's camera), we went to church, played volleyball, ate square ice cream, visited with new friends and old, ate too much good food, and Doug & I went on one of the canoe trips. Lots of good times!Read more

  • Camp Volleyball

    July 18, 2018 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 75 °F

As always, there was lots volleyball. One morning Doug & Talon got on a team that won 15 games straight. They walked off because they were tired. On Saturday evening we even played in a married couples game that was so fun/funny! We didn't see much of Weston at camp, but Talon stayed pretty close to camp going to play. I'd he wasn't paying he was trying to talk us into going to the water. He even jumped of the cliffs and talked me into jumping off the lower cliffs.Read more

  • Camp Food & Friends

    July 18, 2018 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 75 °F

    July 30, 2018 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 48 °F
