Butterfly Falls

Limmen National Park. Common Crow Butterfly. There can be millions of these after a good wet season, but this year it has been very dry.
Closed over weekend 4th June due croc sighting.
Limmen Bight River

Cox River

Fish that can spit water at overhanging leaves to get insects. Barramundi in the rivers.
Towns River & Little Towns River

Listened to a Les Hiddens Bush Tucker Man video about Leichardts expedition through the Gulf country.
Roper River Munbililla

This is the Tomato Island boat ramp. ANZAC Day ceremonies are held here for travellers. The Roper runs all the way to the Gulf downstream and upstream another 50kms. Upstream is the Roper Bar ford.
Roper Bar Ford

First used by Leichardt but now goes nowhere. Bridges gave been built across the Roper. There are the ruins of a police station and a plaque memorialising Leichardt.

Had a pitstop at a Service Station in Mataranka. The refuel cost $467. Passed some burning off along the Stuart Hwy. A/C has been working this afternoon.

Arrived at the resort at 6:15pm. Dinner is at 7.
I had Tbone and Joy had the Barra. Up before 6am, breakfast at 6:30 and on the road at 7:15am.
