Found out about a Chickasaw Nation sponsored event in Sulfur,OK. It is huge and lots of neat booths, music and dancing. Had to get an order of fried bread to take back to camp.

Sunny, 65, and a bit windy so decided to take the kayak out. I was able to get it out, in the water, paddle casually for about an hour, get out of it, put it back into the van and get back to the trailer. Surprisingly I did not fall face first in the water or be rescued. Success.
Now cici and I are enjoying the sun and having lunch.Okumaya devam et

65, a bit windy but sun came out. So took my kayak out on the lake. I was able to get it put of the van, into the water and enjoyed about an hour of casual paddling. Then it was a bit of a challenge getting out of my kayak, need to work on my squats. After awhile I was able to get out and still dry. Then it was getting it back into van. Now for lunch. Cool,windy and sunny. A perfect day for a Harvest Host stop in McPherson,KS. Found an awesome dog park on the way thru town and a grocery store. Now for a snack and then to explore the beers

Safe and sound, yesterday is almost forgotten. Really. Nice today and all settled in for a few days.
Kansas hates me!! 12-15ph winds all day, rain a couple of times and 60 degrees. Opted to clean house including the van, do multiple long walks and a bike ride. So over all better than the past few days.

Tomorrow I head to Manhattan,KS. Home of K-State our alma mater. Today I took coffee and donut to Steve's 101 year old aunt. Her memory is better than mine. We had a great visit. Drove by Steve's childhood home, shopped at the local fruit and vegetables stand. So already to move on. Expecting thunderstorms this evening. So the van will get a rinse.Okumaya devam et

Tornado warning

So the tornado sirens went off, apparently there was a potential tornado northeast of my location. That one stopped and another went off 10 minutes later. I decided to take Cici for a walk towards the storm shelter. And now about an hour later all is moving on. Might get some rain. But sure had fun strolling with others and watching the clouds.

So had to check out a Kansas winery. All of their dry reds are elderberry based. Hmm not my thing . But their Elderberry Dry Reserve has no sugar and it was good. Nice chat with apparently the only certified wine judge on Kansas. They are also a commercial winery. It was a fun visit. Plus they had interesting 3-D printed bottle holders.Okumaya devam et

Back staying at Harvest host. Not sure about wine making in Norman,OK, but willing to give it a try. Plus they have a nice stage.
Wines were good and liked their malbec and red blend. Apparently the rage around here is sweet but I was able to turn the list over and get the dry. No rain here but cool ,quiet and breezy.Okumaya devam et

Finally made a decision and ordered a new trailer It will take a month to be built and am looking forward to a bigger refrig, and room for the grandkids, but only one at a time. Now to locate a replacement for the van.
