A Day in Eco Camp Morning

Today was awesome! We got a wake-up call with drums at 4:30, had coffee by 5, and then jumped into the car. We explored different places quickly, stopping by bushes for a walk crossing fever trees and went to Riedbok Vlei Pan. First, we spotted an elephant and than suddenly saw a group of buffalos, which made us sit down quietly to show we meant no harm. After a while, we moved away to a pond, but the buffalos followed us. It took some time for them to chill out. Later, we watched hippos, and back in the car, we drove to a lake for coffee. The birdlife was lovely. (I’ll have to make separate notes about birds) After breakfast and lunch back at camp, we headed out for our second game drive of the day.Read more
