Huge herd

After our freezing and wet misadventure at Grand Prismatic Spring, we just wanted to get to West Yellowstone, have a beer and get warm and dry.

Traffic slowed and we saw a few deer and a couple bison. We were on the fence about pulling over and then decided of course we will.

OMG. So glad we did. A HUGE herd of bison were right up by the pull out and across the meadow. At least 50? Some babies. Just stunning.

After taking a million pictures and grinning a lot, we pulled back out to the road and saw another 15 or so on the main road other side.

Awe inspiring. Amazing. Stunning.
