We've wanted to try hot pot and figured the Bay area is a great place to try it. Except it was so authentically Chinese no one spoke English to explain the best way to go about it. lol We blundered through and it was delicious!Read more

After Dawn's work events, we headed into the city for some walking around the pier and then for a night tour of Alcatraz. The tour was interesting, but not as spooky as they hinted it would be. Beautiful to see the sunset on the boat though!

Chinatown Food Tour

We took food walking tour of Chinatown. Learned some interesting history and had some amazing bites! It is much bigger than I realized and the number of grocery stores on the same block was hilarious - rather than spread out throughout Chinatown they were all on the same block. Our tour guide was surprising - I thought she was a homeless woman when she first walked up!Read more
