Arrived in St. George and got settled in with - what else - a brewery. Gearing up for our visit to Bryce tomorrow. Every direction you look, there are beautiful rocks!

Bryce Canyon - Part I

Bryce! The two hour drive to the park was beautiful as well. We kept stopping to take pictures and we hadn't even gotten to the park!

We used the Guide Along app to narrate and give us info along the drive. It worked really well. The guy who narrates tells great stories and also has funny snarky comments along the way. He made the trip even more fun.

We chose to drive all the way to the end of the park - Rainbow Point - and work our way back, ending at the amphitheater.

Every where you look is stunning. It's hard to capture, but I hope this gives a sense of it.Read more

Tuacahn Amphitheater

Tuacahn Amphitheater is a like a mini Red Rocks (Denver). We went to see Hotel California - an Eagles tribute band. The music was fun, but mostly we just wanted to see this beautiful place.

Zion National Park - Part I

Zion! Not as long of a drive, but it was a busy day at the park! There is very little parking along the road so you have to take a shuttle with 9 hop on hop off spots.
Being there in November was perfect - the canyon walls are stunning, but the bright yellow leaves just made it perfect!
Much like our previous trip to Utah, it was odd to think the day before in Bryce, we were at the top and looking down into the canyons... today we were in the canyon looking up at the soaring walls.

Zion National Park - Part II

More Zion. The weeping wall was beautiful. We didn't expect so much water to be coming down.
We stopped for a beer after coming out of the park ... it was fun to watch the folks exiting the park - some looked so tired.
We loaded up and drove the other side of the park that you can drive yourself. More stunning rocks!Read more

After Zion, we explored St. George a little more. Had to see the gigantic Mormon church. It is ridiculous how huge it is.
Also - fun fact - religion definitely controls things.... it was hard to find dinner! Almost all the restaurants were closed on Sunday!Read more

Snow Canyon State Park

We decided to explore the state park - Snow Canyon. Another stunning location - lots of lava fields with the lava holes to look down into.

Of course we found some wineries. Zion Winery was nice, though right by the highway.
The Bold & Delaney Winery was a great experience. He opened up just for us and was so nice! The wines were pretty nice too.
